Condé Nast Leadership to Meet Trump Tomorrow
The off-the-record meeting with Donald Trump follows last month's conflict with Vanity Fair.
Anna Wintour and other top leadership from Condé Nast will meet with President-elect Donald Trump Friday, Politico reports.
The off-the-record meeting will take place at Condé Nast headquarters in lower Manhattan, and will include all editors-in-chief and digital directors from the magazine publisher.
This is includes Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter, who Trump publicly criticized via Twitter on December 15.
While off-the-record meet and greets are not unusual at Condé Nast or in the world of politics, they have become the main source of access to the president-elect. Trump has not held a press conference since July 27.
Instead, he’s had several off-the-record meetings with journalists, including one with television executives and anchors on November 21, and with reporters at the Trump-owned Mar-a-Lago estate in late December.
He also met on the record with the New York Times staff on November 23.
Yesterday, Trump Tweeted that he will hold a general press conference on January 11. Trump previously scheduled and cancelled a press conference for December 15.
