Condé Nast Announces Management Restructuring
Portfolio's David Carey to oversee Wired Media and the Golf Digest Group.
Condé Nast today announced an executive personnel restructuring, including the naming of three senior vice presidents.
Vogue, Men’s Vogue and Vogue Living vice president Thomas Florio has been named senior vice president and publishing director, and will oversee also the Teen Vogue publishing business. Florio has spent more than two decades at Condé Nast working on titles including GQ, The New Yorker and Condé Nast Traveler. Florio is the youngest brother of fellow Condé Nast veteran and former chief executive Steve Florio, who died December 27 due to complications following a heart attack.
William Wackermann, vice president and publisher of Glamour, has been promoted to senior vice president and publishing director, and will oversee the Condé Nast Bridal Media Group. Louis Cona has been promoted to senior vice president of the Condé Nast Media Group. Cona, who had previously been vice president and publisher of The New Yorker, will oversee the group’s sales and marketing teams. Drew Schutte will replace Cona.
"This is an exciting time for our company," Condé Nast president and chief executive officer Charles H. Townsend said in a statement. "These changes in our management structure position us for many years of continued growth."
In addition to the business media group—which includes Portfolio magazine—Condé Nast Publications’ group president and publishing director David Carey [SEE RELATED FOLIO: VIDEO HERE] will also now oversee Wired Media and the company’s Golf Digest Group. Gina Sanders, who launched Teen Vogue, has been named vice president and publisher of Lucky.
Also as part of the restructuring, Mitchell Fox, Amy Churgin and Alexandra Golinkin will be leaving the company. Fox served as group president and publishing director of the Golf Digest Group, the Fairchild Fashion Group and the Condé Nast Bridal Media Group. Churgin was senior vice president of the Condé Nast Media Group, overseeing corporate sales, and Golinkin was Lucky’s vice president and publisher.
