Olson started their small printing shop. From those modest origins 100 years ago, Japs-Olson today employs more than 700 people in an enterprise that ranks as one of the leading commercial printing and direct-mail production companies in the United States. In the direct mail area alone, more than 750 million pieces of mail were produced last year for a growing national customer list.

Yet through all that volume of work, we never let the human element get lost in the machinery. Japs-Olson manages every piece of business on a personal level, with a hands-on management team involved every step of the way. Our experienced account executives and support staff personally serve our customers’ needs throughout each job. The production personnel team brings each project to completion with expert care and individual attention.

State-of-the-Art and Time-Tested

Jap Olson's full-service 525,000 sq ft plant holds some of
the most sophisticated equipment in the printing industry today. Our prepress
department accepts projects in every format technologically imaginable. We
offer presses covering the entire array of web (up to 16 colors) and sheetfed
(up to 12 colors). Our finishing area handles all bindery requirements, along
with our computer service bureau and mailing department, which includes 3
high-speed Versamark ink-jet systems with 9" heads (300 dpi); 15 ink-jet
systems; 20 continuous & cut-sheet lasers (300 & 600 dpi); 67 standard,
stretch, jumbo inserters; and 9 Buskro intelligent inserters. Add mail commingling
and a complete on-site U.S. Postal facility and there is perhaps no better word
to describe Japs-Olsen than "complete."

Unless it’s “time tested,” our “all-under-one-roof” approach flies in the face of common practice among most printers and direct mail production firms today, who routinely send out key parts of their jobs to other suppliers or distant “sister companies,” losing control of quality and deadlines. At Japs-Olon, we have what it takes to cost-effectively handle your complete job within our 525,000 sq ft facility, so you get optimum value and scheduling control. Frankly, that’s an “old-fashioned” approach, and it works better for our clients every time.
