Chief Brand Officer Andy Sareyan Parts Ways with Meredith
Sareyan was promoted after Jack Griffin left for Time Inc. last year.
Andy Sareyan, chief brand officer and executive vice president of consumer brands with Meredith Corp., has left the company, which was initially reported by Ad Age.
Sareyan joined Meredith as chief brand officer and executive vice president of Better Homes and Gardens, and was promoted to president of consumer brands when Jack Griffin left Meredith to join Time Inc. in the summer of 2010 (where Griffin was then ousted in February 2011) and Tom Harty, now president of Meredith’s National Media Group, took over the role.
At Meredith, Sareyan was responsible for Better Homes and Gardens, Ladies’ Home Journal, Family Circle, More and Parents brands, as well as of digital media, newsstand and brand licensing. Sareyan kept his role of executive VP at time of promotion.
There has been no interim replacement named for Sareyan, and direct reports are slated to report to Harty, according to a spokesperson from Meredith.
