BPA Reports Audit Growth Across All Media Platforms
BPA Worldwide reported this week significant year-over-year audit growth across all media platforms, including print, online and in-person events. BPA also said that the Exhibition & Events Industry Audit Commission’s year-end report shows that event audits increased 30 percent in 2006 compared to 2005.
BPA contributed to the EEIAC standards and became the first EEIAC-certified auditor in 2005, the Shelton, Connecticut-based auditor said in a statement. The EEIAC believes exhibitors will continue to increase their demand for event audits in 2007. “The steady and deliberate process of event organizers to communicate face-to-face with exhibitors is beginning to grow awareness and insight on the value of audits,” said Craig Nauta, Managing Director of EEIAC, in a statement.
BPA CEO Glenn Hansen said BPA added event audits to its services because it recognizes the trend of media owners using multiple platforms to assure clients of the scope and reach of their audience. “Independently audited demographic data are vital to the future growth of the entire media industry;including events and exhibits. We are pleased to be serving this need,” Hansen said in a statement.
