Beusse Out at Time4Media, But Magazines Will Remain in New York (posted 2/12)
Time4Media president Tom Beusse will step down as president of the Time4Media publications sold by Time Inc. to Swedish publisher, Bonnier Media Group last month. Terry Snow, CEO of Bonnier’s World Publications, which publishes Saveur, Garden Design, Cruising World, Sailing World, Islands, Spa, Destination Weddings & Honeymoons, Resorts & Great Hotels, will oversee both the Time publications and World’s publications, said World spokesman Dean Turcol. Turcol said the World and Time magazines will be merged into a new company, the name of which will be announced shortly.
Turcol also said, despite news reports to the contrary, the Time magazines will stay in New York and not move to World Publications’ Winter Park, Florida headquarters. Even though the company’s corporate offices are in Florida, it publishes magazines in different parts of the country. Saveur magazine, for example, is published in New York and will remain there with Bonnier’s newly acquired 18 publications, Turcol said. An employee of the former Time4 publications called reports of a move to Florida “nonsense.”
