It’s Time to Adstream Your Production Environment
In today’s economic climate, magazine publishers that can leverage the right technologies to help them achieve optimal efficiency in their production environments stand to benefit through faster turnaround, lower costs, and higher quality more reliably. That’s why publishers in 42 countries around the world are turning to Adstream.
Adstream provides world-class infrastructure tools that help publishers and the advertising agencies, media companies, prepress shops, printers and major brand marketers they work with streamline their workflow and enhance their performance ; from advertisement concept through production and distribution. Whether it’s print, broadcast or cross-media solutions, Adstream software helps companies digitally create, verify, proof, manage, and distribute material across any geography from any workstation – instantly.
The merger of Quickcut and Adstream in 2006 united two international companies that pioneered print and broadcast digital management tools. Now under the Adstream name, the company offers a powerful Global Media Exchange operating across 42 countries supported by 10 regional offices.
Integrated "Create, Validate, Proof, Manage and Deliver" Workflow
Adstream’s solutions for print publishing include QuickPrint 5, PageStore, and Adstream Virtual Proofing ; three important tools comprising the Adstream Quickcut workflow. The workflow starts with QuickPrint 5 (QP5), powerful and efficient print workflow software for file management, validation, and delivery to any publication, anywhere in the world. QP5 uses a comprehensive database of publication specification parameters to validate files and identify and optimize them. It performs a detailed series of checks on QuarkXPress, InDesign or PDF files indicating any areas that require attention to meet the publication’s exact spec.
Says Joe Gliottone, SVP and Manager of Print Production at Arnold Boston, "Adstream’s QuickPrint’s database even includes information about acceptable print density, highlight and shadow values, to ensure that images are in spec. While other products leave it to chance, Quickcut has made it idiot-proof."
The next step is to send validated and approved files through Adstream’s Virtual Proofing module which integrates with ICS Remote Director and adds remote and soft proofing capabilities to the workflow to help eliminate hard copy proofs, without sacrificing color control or reliability. The program produces a soft copy, virtual proof on a color-calibrated display that users can send for approvals inside and outside their organization.
Adstream’s PageStore module works as a workflow companion to QuickPrint, providing a secure hub for automated and reliable digital transmission and delivery of artwork files to any printer or publication, anywhere in the world. QuickPrint creates an electronic job ticket that accompanies print materials that are created, validated, and converted to PDFs. Every time artwork is sent to a printer or publisher, a delivery notice is generated showing the exact arrival time.
When Quickcut validated files arrive at a publisher’s or printer’s site, Adstream Virtual Proofing lets them view files accurately on-screen. They can even produce an old fashioned, hard-copy proof. But ultimately they’ll understand they can accept and trust files produced using Adstream’s Quickcut workflow to save time and effort on their end.
