ABM to Focus on Evolving Role of Edit at Next Week’s Spring Meeting
Ennen said ABM’s new strategic plan will be fluid and focus on the role that ABM will play in the future of the b-to-b medium. Speaking about the meeting, Ennen said the event’s speakers, from Terry McGraw to Arianna Huffington, represent the changing face of b-to-b journalism. "We have someone like Terry McGraw from McGraw-Hill, which has been here since the genesis of the industry 100 years ago, but is doing some very progressive stuff," he said. "Then we have Yahoo!, which is very new and very fresh and they’re working with members helping to enhance that dynamic and give us some guidance in their realm. And then we have Arianna Huffington, who’s a great example of the citizen journalism movement."
The meeting also will feature smaller and more personal workshops this year, Ennen said. "We’re doing something different with afternoon salons, which are less of a lecture and more of a hands-on activity," he said. "It will give the members a chance to not only listen, but also to get in there and be involved."
