New hires at Atlantic Media, Real Simple, Esquire and more‚Ä¶
Esquire has appointed Andrew Bowen as director, American fashion, grooming and retail. He most recently worked at Men's Fitness as director of fashion and grooming.
Laura Schocker has joined RealSimple.com as executive editor. Previously she worked as executive editor of the Healthy Living vertical at The Huffington Post.
Government Executive Media Group, a division of Atlantic Media, announced that Ted Iobst has been promoted to vice president of digital and the Government Business Council. Iobst accepts the newly created position from his previous leadership of the Government Business Council. Bridget Forbes joins him as digital director from her role as a project manager with GEMG. Atlantic Media has also named Camille Tuutti as executive editor of Nextgov. She previously served as editorial director of FedScoop.com and StateScoop.com. Michael Grass will also be joining as the senior editor for the new Government Executive brand. He most recently worked with The Huffington Post, where he covered local DC, Maryland and Virginia news.
Susan Pocharski has been appointed to entertainment director of More magazine from the same position at Meredith sister brand Ladies' Home Journal.
Women's Health has hired Gretchen Smelter as creative director. She previously worked as the design director at House Beautiful.
Marianne Mairesse has been promoted to editor-in-chief at Marie Claire France from her role as deputy editor.
