Forbes Media used the 61st annual Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity as a platform to announce that it has expanded its magazine audience by more than 20 percent over the past year.

According to GfK MRI Spring 2014 data, the magazine has reached its pinnacle in readership, growing from 5,079,000 last spring to more than 6 million this year.

The report also purports that Forbes is a clear leader within its competitive set, with its nearest competitor trailing by 2.5 million readers.

The company is crediting its content and infrastructure as the driving forces behind the audience growth. Editor Randall Lane said in a statement that the magazine’s content "has never been more relevant." And Mark Howard, CRO, says the growth "underlines the unique value proposition that we provide for marketers who are able to reach more consumers, entrepreneurs, business owners, managers and investors through Forbes than any other business magazine."
