Condé Nast Entertainment has signed a first look agreement with Twentieth Century Fox TV. The deal is a new expansive venture for CNE, and one that further positions it as a multimedia company.
The agreement enables CNE to develop and produce original scripted programming for Twentieth Century Fox TV and cable and, so far, three series are already planned for this year.
"Vanity Fair Confidential," which will air on Investigation Discovery, is the only series that has a clear tie back to a Condé Nast publishing brand. The other two series, "The Fashion Fund" and "Geeks Who Drink" are new concepts that will air on Ovation and SyFy respectively.
The company has sold more than 10 series pilots across network and cable TV and digital video networks. In essence, CNE has been building out its own digital video network with "The Scene," a multi-brand hub for CNE video content.
CNE president, Dawn Ostroff, says the synergy is a "powerful combination" that pulls together great storytelling, a deep archive of content and a collection of legacy brands.
