FAME Award Winners Announced

At its annual breakfast awards ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt in New York today, FOLIO: and min honored the winners of the this year's FAME Awards—recognizing the best in magazine events.

Spanning 17 categories—from Awards/Recognition Programs to Tradeshows and Regional Events—the winners represent a vibrant cross-section of consumer and b-to-b media companies.

Events have become a major component of a magazine publisher's media platform. For some, events have long eclipsed print revenues. But for most, face-to-face programs are an essential way to drive deeper interaction with an audience and bring it closer to a market's supplier community.

More than 100 attendees were in attendance this morning to hear a keynote presentation from Time Inc. Sports Group president Mark Ford and receive their awards from FOLIO: general manager Tony Silber, editor Bill Mickey and special guest presenters Kassie Means, publisher and chief revenue officer at Woman's Day and Jason Wagenheim, vice president and publisher at Teen Vogue.
