Exceptional Women in Publishing (EWIP) will hold its 6th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference, a popular media, technology and publishing industry event, in March with a slew of fresh ideas on the theme “How to Move Forward: Women Leaders in Media.”
“The goal of this year’s conference program is to illuminate the many ways women are moving forward in the industry,” says Máire Walsh, EWIP president, in a statement.
For the first time, the non-profit educational organization will be accepting proposals for session topics at the conference. Founded in 1998, EWIP was created to address the ambitions of women and girls in the magazine publishing industry with a concentration on education, empowerment and community support.
“By opening up the program for public submissions, we will be able to tap into the depth of experience and talent in the publishing community,” Walsh says.
Applications should be submitted electronically through the Convene A Session form by Nov. 15, 2013. Session selections will be announced on Dec. 12, 2013 and the conference will be held March 5, 2014 in San Francisco with more than 250 attendees expected.
