The Loop partners with Glide Creations for a newsstand reboot.
The Loop
has turned to Glide Creations to create a new version of the magazine’s newsstand app that provides a magazine experience unlike what readers are used to. The new platform for The Loop iPhone and tablet magazines emphasizes aesthetics and usability, leveraging photo and video content to enhance articles. The Loop Magazine 2.0 is out in the App Store now.

German World Magazine introduces first-ever digital subscription.
The bilingual German-American publication will roll out a digital-only yearly subscription at $7.99, less than half the annual cost of a print subscription. Individual issues can be purchased digitally for $2.99 and limited back issues are available at a reduced rate.

SoFilm launches on newsstand.
a French film magazine, has partnered with magazine app specialists Exact Editions to launch an app edition on Apple’s digital newsstand. Subscribers will be able to access the complete archive of back issues as well as new issues through newsstand. SoFilm is joined in the app store by its Spanish sister title SoFilm España.

Exhibitor magazine releases digital edition.
The new digital embodiment of the trade show and events magazine adds new multimedia features and social forums to the content of each monthly issue. The Exhibitor app features both single-issue and yearly subscriptions at a lower cost for subscribers. Complete issues with added interactive features will arrive on mobile devices the same day they are released. 

New digital magazine Spliced combines pop culture elements.
Spliced, a new pop culture digital magazine, aims to provide all-original content on topics such as comic books, gaming, tech, gadgets, fashion, film and lifestyle. Headed up by a creative team trio—Pippa Tshabalala, editorial; Chris Savides, design; and Tim Hulme, photography—the new publication will be released every two months and be available for free on
