The Deal
, the business arm of digital financial media company TheStreet, launched the second generation of its The Deal Pipline app for the iPad and for the first time, the iPhone.

“We’re taking The Deal Pipeline’s user experience to the next level by offering mobile access to our top reporting in a variety of ways,” says Michael Crosby, chief operating officer for The Deal, in a statement.

The updated app, on sale starting today, will offer both iPad and iPhone users a breaking news tool, a twice-daily feature story about industry movers and shakers accompanied by a slideshow and nine sector-focused pages covering consumer & retail, energy, healthcare, industrials, private equity, real estate, regulation, restructuring and telecommunications media & technology.

Users of the iPad edition will also receive daily and weekly industry reports and access to an IPO center powered by NYSE Euronext 9, which provides comprehensive information and analysis of recent filings.
