seems to be ending 2012 on a high note—the site has been seeing some large gains in traffic and is reporting a 39 percent year-over-year increase in the number of unique visitors.

The Time Inc. site, which launched in 2007 and brings together more than 70,000 recipes from sister brands like Real Simple, Southern Living and Cooking Light, among others, has reached a total of more than 8.4 million monthly unique visitors, with the average visitor venturing to 11.7 pages per visit, according to comScore.

The brand has also experienced triple-digit growth when it comes to mobile traffic—the site has seen a 299 percent increase in the number of monthly mobile unique visitors and a 477 percent increase in the number of social media referrals, according to Omniture. Both data sets from comScore and Omniture compare the periods of Jan.-Nov. 2012 to Jan.-Nov. 2011.

“We can see that the brand is resonating with consumers and we’re excited to continue our growth into 2013 with a host of new and exciting products in the pipeline,” Tina Imm, general manager of Time Inc.’s Lifestyle Digital Group, says in a statement.

To capitalize on its mobile success, the company will be introducing a new mobile optimized site and a series of e-cookbooks.
