Fairchild Fashion Media Buys Fashion Blog Curator NowManifest

NowManifest boasts 1.2 million unique visitors a month.

This morning (May 15), Fairchild Fashion Media (FFM) president/CEO (since Jan. 2010) Gina Sanders announced the acquisition of Fashion Networks International LLC (FNI), the parent company to NowManifest--a curated blog portal that "gathers the world’s most renowned [next-generation] bloggers in fashion." Included are Anna Della Russo, Bryan Grey Yambao ("BryanBoy"), Rumi Neely ("Fashion Toast"), Industrie Magazine, Derek Blasberg ("Mr. Blasberg") and Elin Kling ("Style by Kling").

Currently, the NowManifest platform attracts 1.2 million unique visitors per month.

FNI is the global extension to Stockholm-based Fashion Networks Scandinavia (FNS), which Christian Remröd and Elin Kling founded in 2009. FNS is not part of the sale, but Remröd is joining FFM in the dual role of managing director of NowManifest and of FFM business development. Says he: "The acquisition furthers our mission to deliver an insider perspective to the global fashion community while offering exciting new functionality and meaningful scale."
