UBM, Backpacker, The New Yorker…

Zinio’s library of over 5,000 magazine titles is now accessible for Ultrabook owners through the Intel AppUp center.

The Economist launched an web-based app dubbed Electionism. The free app was developed in conjunction with Toronto software design firm Nulayer.

UBM’s DMNews tapped Texterity to digitize its print magazine. UBM also moves Internet Evolution to the iPad.

Backpacker iPad subscriptions multiplied six times over since October.

Life magazine debuted its coffee table book “Life 75 Years: The Very Best of Life” for tablets. The iPad version is available for $12.99.

The New Yorker is now available on the Amazon Kindle Fire and Barnes and Noble’s NOOK device.
