BuzzMedia Continues Expansion with Four Acquisitions
Deals enable creation of a punk rock vertical attracting 1.35 million uniques.
BuzzMedia has added four more websites to its network of pop culture and music sites. Under the Gun Review, Alter the Press!, PropertyofZack and Punknews.org will be combined with existing property AbsolutePunk to create a new punk rock vertical called AbsoluteVoices.
BuzzMedia made waves in July when it bought Spin Media and has since been vague about what it will ultimately do with the print title. But the deal followed BuzzMedia's formula of acquiring assets with enough brand power to amplify the company's network approach to marketing services for its advertising clients.
With this latest group of acquisitions, about 771,000 monthly uniques will be added to the hub, which in aggregate will attract 1.35 million monthly uniques, per Google Analytics numbers, says the company.
