Ziff Davis has acquired the IT research and lead-gen company Focus Research, Inc. The company, which has served IT managers and buyers since 2005 will become Ziff Davis B2B Focus and operate as a standalone unit from its current home in San Francisco. Nevertheless, Focus CEO Scott Albro and a small group from the company have left to build a separate business apart from ZD around the Focus.com site.Â
