Ronan Gardiner, who as Men's Health advertising director and associate publisher was the top lieutenant to publisher Jack Essig for
the past 6½ years, was elevated to publisher on July 7--one day after Essig left MH and parent Rodale Inc. to join Hearst Magazines as senior VP/publishing director/chief revenue officer of Esquire and the newly formed Men's Enthusiast Group (Esquire, Popular Mechanics, Car and Driver, Road & Track).
