On May 31, in the first aftereffect from Hearst Magazines' ownership of Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. (part of Hearst Corp.'s purchase of Lagardère SCA's non-French magazine properties), corporate president, 
marketing and publishing director Michael Clinton moved Esquire VP/publisher (since Feb. 2003) Kevin O'Malley to Elle senior VP/publisher. (All HM publishers are also chief revenue officers.)
O'Malley's Esquire successor was not immediately named.
