Brightcove Strikes Video Syndication Deal with AOL’s 5min Media
Brightcove and 5min Media expand business relationship.
Brightcove, an online video platform, and 5min Media, a Web video syndication platform and division of the newly-formed AOL Advertising.com Group, have expanded their partnership.
As a result, Brightcove Pro and Enterprise edition customers can now publish content from 5min Media’s library directly through their Brightcove accounts.
Richard Bloom, senior vice president of business development with 5min Media, says, “Brightcove customers will be able to significantly increase video views by tapping into 5min's expansive library of high-quality, professional videos. These video views will be monetized with pre-rolls and other types of in-stream advertising. These opportunities will be sold by 5min and, in some cases, by the publisher.”
The AOL Advertising.com Group was formed in May 2011, and is made up of eight companies including: Advertising.com, ADTECH, AOL Video, goviral, Pictela, Content Solutions, 5min Media and Sponsored Listings.
Brightcove has worked with Conde Nast, Time Inc., Rodale and Meredith in their website video initiatives.
