Worldcolor Updates Digital Publishing Service

Magazine printer Worldcolor has updated its digital edition technology to include interactive features such as search, video, audio and Flash. The new service, called V2, is being marketed to publishers of magazines, catalogs, directories and retail inserts.
Worldcolor said V2 provides a streamlined workflow for distributing content simultaneously across multiple channels, speeding time-to-market, improving program results and lowering overall costs. According to Worldcolor vice president Maura Packham, V2 aims to enable clients to engage their audiences across media channels.
“Printed catalogs, directories and inserts continue to be powerful drivers of sales and store traffic, and statistics clearly show that their impact is enhanced when integrated into a multichannel campaign,” Packham said. “Businesses recognize the power of an integrated approach but often encounter organizational, technical and supplier barriers to executing integrated print and digital strategies. V2 can help solve that problem.”
