Washington Post to Launch New Weekly Publication
Capital Business to ship initially to newspaper subscribers.

The Washington Post newspaper said it has created a weekly magazine called Capital Business. The new publication will feature original enterprise reporting, business analysis, commentary, industry trends and will highlight regional entrepreneurs.
It will be sent to Washington Post subscribers free of charge until May 10. It is expected to launch April 19.
The new publication will be led by editor Dan Beyers and general manager Arnie Applebaum, who will oversee the publication’s strategy and day-to-day operations. Applebaum will continue to serve as general manager of The Washington Post Co.’s El Tiempo Latino and Express.
According to Beyers, Capital Business is intended to help area businesses manage “at a time of great change and opportunity. This publication is going to be more than just a collection of company profiles and business data—we plan to deliver the high quality news and analysis readers have come to expect from The Post.â€
After May 10, Capital Business will be available by subscription—$49 for 52 issues.
