TIME to Publish Decade Retrospective; Gets CNN Thanksgiving Special
“TIMEframes†hits Friday, Nov. 26.
This week TIME will publish a special issue dubbed "TIMEframes" that looks at what the magazine has deemed the 10 most important and influential stories of the past decade (Hurricane Katrina, the 2000 election and the Iraq war) as well as "a look at how these issues have impacted our culture."
TIMEframes hits newsstands on Friday, Nov. 26. On Thanksgiving, CNN anchor John King will host a special built entirely around the TimeFrames issue, featuring TIME managing editor Rick Stengel as well as editor-at-large Fareed Zakaria and columnist Joe Klein as guests.
In his editor's note, Stengel writes, "The project gives us the chance to move away from the hit-and-run journalism that has so often characterized the past decade to something more enduring."
TIMEframes also incorporates a new ad campaign the magazine recently launched, which features TIME's perspective on other large stories of the past decade not featured in the special issue.
