TMG Tops the Charts with 19 CPC Pearl Awards

Custom Publishing Council honors best in design, editorial and strategy.

NEW YORK‚ÄĒTMG (formerly The Magazine Group) received the most Pearl Awards‚ÄĒ19 in total‚ÄĒhere Thursday night at the Custom Publishing Council's annual Pearl Awards. Awards included best Web feature or article, best Web publication, best overall editorial (less than 50,000), and best tie in with Corporate Integrated Marketing.

Greensboro, North Carolina-based Pace Communications and Rodale Custom Publishing followed closely behind taking home 16 awards each.

The Best in Custom Award, which honors overall excellence, was given to SpaFax for EnRoute. McMurry CEO and past president and chairman of CPC, Chris McMurry, was given the John Caldwell Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes individuals who have made ‚Äúsignificant contributions to the development and promotion of the custom publishing industry,‚ÄĚ the council said.

This year, the council received 467 entries, down from 614 in 2008.
