American Media Inc.'s Star magazine announced a pair of personnel changes: former Maxim associate publisher Neil Goldstein was named associate publisher of advertising, and Carrie Byrne Putelo was promoted from advertising manager to advertising director.
Atlantic Media hired Adam Pasick to serve as managing editor of a new digital media property launching next year that will target global business executives. Most recently, Pasick served as U.S. editor at Reuters.com.
Robert C. DeMarzo was promoted to senior vice president of strategic content for Everything Channel's custom and event content business. DeMarzo most recently served as senior vice president and editorial director.
Meredith Corp. appointed Jennifer Kalat to the newly-created position of beauty managing director of Meredith360, the company’s strategic marketing unit. Kalat previously served as luxury account manager at the Wall Street Journal.
Denver magazine named contributing editor Stacey Brugeman to the newly-created position of food editor. Brugeman formerly served as research editor at Food & Wine and as editorial assistant at Saveur.
Amid rumors of a sell-off, Playboy Enterprises announced Monday that Linda G. Havard is stepped down as executive vice president and CFO. Havard, who joined playboy in 1997, said in the announcement that she is looking forward to “new challenges in the next stage of my career.” Her resignation will be effective December 31. Playboy said a search for successor will begin immediately.
Hearst’s Food Network Magazine announced several personnel changes: Allison Home was promoted from integrated marketing manager to director of integrated marketing; Nikki Zila was promoted to associate manager and integrated marketing; Fabian Castro was named director of brand development; and Julie Mahoney was named director of promotions and merchandising.
Metrocorp’s Boston magazine appointed Paige Williams as executive editor. Previously, Williams served as editor-in-chief at Portland Monthly.
