Crain Communications has announced three promotions at AutoWeek: longtime editor and associate publisher Dutch Mandel was named associate publisher and editorial director; Wes Raynal, who served as exectuive editor, was named editor of the print magazine and autoweek.com; and managing editor Roger Hart was named executive editor.

The Reader’s Digest Association promoted Maureen Polo to vice president of integrated sales and marketing for its U.S. Affinities. Previously, Polo served as the group’s managing director of integrated sales and marketing. Her appointment is effective November 9.

Mike Horowitz has left Wired magazine as New York editor. His position has been eliminated, a spokesperson told FOLIO:.

United Business Media announced two recent personnel changes at two of its U.S.-based brands: Laurie Balcerak was named global sales director of Everything Channel’s field sales and marketing services group, and Amandeep Sandu was named manager of audience acquisition and engagement at EE Times.

Sandra Baylis was named to the newly-created position of director of partner events and special services at the Publishing Group of America. Since 1999, Baylis served as a regional director for PGA.

The Atlantic appointed Breda O’Reilly digital ad manager. Most recently, O’Reilly served as a strategic account executive with Microsoft Advertising.

Louise Poirier was appointed editor at Ethanol & Biofuels News. Previously, Poirier served as associate editor at Hart Energy Publishing.
