Meredith Corp. has promoted Andy Sareyan to chief brand officer of the National Media Group. In this expanded role, Sareyan will continue to serve as president of Better Homes & Gardens and as executive vice president of the group.
Hearst has announced a pair of personnel additions at Marie Claire's fashion department: former Teen Vogue accessories director Taylor Tomasi was named style and accessories director, and Amanda Hearst, who recently served as an intern at Cosmopolitan Spain, was named associate market editor.
The Saturday Evening Post announced a pair of personnel changes: Former Better Homes and Gardens deputy editor Stephen George was named editor-in-chief, replacing Patrick Perry, who was named director of development and executive editor of the Saturday Evening Post Society, the non-profit group that oversees the magazine.
Warren Watson was named executive director of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. Most recently, Watson served as director of J-Ideas, a non-profit serving high school journalists.
Reuters named Jim Impoco to the newly-created position of enterprise reporter. Impoco previously served as deputy editor at Condé Nast's Portfolio and as the Sunday business editor at the New York Times.
Andy Ward was named vice president and executive editor at Random House. Most recently Ward served as executive editor at GQ magazine.
Spin magazine's parent company McEvoy Group named Alan Nichols CEO, replacing Nion McEvoy. Nichols previously served as CFO of McEvoy's Chronicle Publishing Group.
Progressive Media Group appointed Bob Scott executive editor of the Progressive Accountant and its portfolio of digital products. Previously, Scott served as editor-in-chief of Source Media's Accounting Technology.
