After seven years at Wenner Media, Janice Min is stepping down as editor of Us Weekly next week. Min, who has reportedly not determined her next professional move, decided not to renew her contract, which expires Aug. 1. Executive editor Michael Steele will serve as acting editor-in-chief.

Bill "Sports Guy" Simmons is retiring as columnist for ESPN The Magazine. Simmons had been a columnist there for seven years.

—the ex-American Media Inc. executive vice president and chief editorial director who resigned in May 2008—has abandoned her plans to launch a celebrity news Web site and has signed on with Mail.com Media Corporation's HollywoodLife.com as president and editor-in-chief. Prior to joining AMI, Fuller served as editor-in-chief of Wenner Media's celebrity gossip magazine Us Weekly—a magazine she helped transform the magazine into a celebrity weekly powerhouse.

Longtime Texas Monthly president and editor-in-chief Evan Smith is stepping down to become CEO of the Texas Tribune. Publisher Emmis Publishing said Elynn Russell, executive vice president of advertising and administration, was promoted to president. It also promoted the magazine's executive vice president and general manager, Lorelei Calvert, to COO. Editor Jake Silverstein will oversee editorial.

BNP Media named Michael Duff editor-in-chief of Refrigerated & Frozen Foods Retailer, replacing Warren Thayer, who left the company last month to launch a competing magazine. Previously, Duff served as senior editor of Lebhar-Friedman’s Retailing Today, executive editor of Food Retailing Today and senior editor on Bedrock Communication’s Facilities magazine.

The Competitor Group—publisher of Competitor and Triathlete magazines—named Andrew R. Hersam executive vice president of media. Hersam previously served as vice president and publishing director of Rodale’s Runner’s World Media Group.

Coffee and tea magazine Fresh Cup appointed Dan Leif associate editor. Previously, Leif served as a copy editor Advertising Age.

Dow Jones announced several personnel changes at WSJ., the Wall Street Journal’s glossy magazine: publisher Ellen Asmodeo-Giglio was promoted to vice president of sales for the newspaper’s Weekend Edition and Luxury sales group; former Times Media (London) international business group leader Sophie Raptis was named publisher; Andrea Norlander was promoted to associate publisher of marketing; and Anthony Cenname was named Luxury group multimedia director.

The Greenspun Media Group named Bob Benz executive vice president. Previously, Benz served as chief operating officer of Radiant Markets, LLC.
