Garden & Gun said Rosanna Giacalone Krekel is joining the magazine as executive director, Luxury Market. Krekel is owner of marketing advisory company La Vita E Bella and is a former Robb Report associate publisher.

Meredith Corp. promoted Tom Harty to president of consumer magazines. In this expanded role, Harty will continue to serve as chief revenue officer and executive vice president of the Meredith Publishing Group. He also will assume oversight of editorial and creative functions for Meredith's New York-based operations, the company said.

Las Vegas-based Greenspun Media has announced a pair of personnel changes: former Henderson, Nevada major James B. Gibson was named senior vice president of its parent the Greenspun Corporation; and Erik Stein was appointed art director of Las Vegas magazine and Vegas2Go.

Jerome Kern, who recently served as interim CEO of Playboy Enterprises, resigned from the company's board of directors. Kern served on the board for seven years.

Incisive Media promoted Michael Bennett to the newly-created position of vice president of U.S. audience development. Previously, Bennett served as group director of audience development.

Hearst Corp. elected senior vice president and chief legal and development officer James M. Asher as one of the company's 13 lifetime testementary trustees. Asher succeeds Richard E. Deems, who died in May.

Ziff Davis Media promoted Stephen Sutton to the newly-created position of COO. Previously, Sutton served as vice president of audience development at Ziff's internet division.

Newsmax promoted Nancy Harrington to vice president of sales and marketing. Most recently, Harrington served as director of sales.

Stamford, Connecticut-based Asset International named Jason Cassidy senior vice president of strategy and development. Most recently, Cassidy served as vice president of Web site solutions at Register.com

Penton Media’s Andrea Berner was named chair of American Business Media’s emerging issues sub-committee. Berner serves as Penton’s deputy general counsel.
