Health Publisher Acquired by PE Firms

InnoVision Health Media, the publisher of Natural Solutions magazine, has been acquired by a subsidiary of ACI Capital and American Securities—a pair of middle-market private equity firms. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal, InnoVision said, effectively ends the company’s Chapter 11 proceedings.

It was not immediately clear which subsidiary made the acquisition. InnoVision president Rob Lutz did not immediately return a request for comment.

As part of the deal, InnoVision will maintain its Boulder, Colorado offices, the company said. No layoffs were associated with the transaction.

In addition to Natural Solutions, InnoVision publishes three medical journals: Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, Integrative Medicine: A Clinician’s Journal, and Advances in Mind-Body Medicine. Natural Solutions was launched in 1994 as Alternative Medicine magazine.
