Hanley Wood Elevates Goldstone to President
Move marks trade publisher's mission to integrate magazines, online, events.

Peter Goldstone, who served as president of Hanley Woodâs business media unit, has been promoted to the newly-created position of president of the company.
In a memo to staffers, Hanley Wood CEO Frank Anton said that in addition to continuing to oversee the media business division, Goldstone [pictured] will lead the exhibitions group and help âforge a much tighter integration of the companyâs go-to-market strategy with its magazines, Web sites and trade shows.â
âWeâre getting more serious about being a fully-integrated media company,â Anton told FOLIO:. âAs we see it, this promotion will give us a significant competitive advantage in good times and bad.â
As president, Goldstone will continue to report to Anton, as will marketing president Jeanne Milbrath, Market Intelligence group president Andy Reid, CFO Matt Flynn, CIO Jeff Craig and human resources vice president Bill McGrath.
Last month, exhibitions group president Galen Poss and group executive vice president Michael Green resigned. Their departures marked a change in reporting structure within the group, as Possâ replacementâformer exhibitions vice president Rick McConnellâbegan reporting to Goldstone, not Anton.
Hanley Woodâs new leadership structure is similar to the period between 1995 and 2005 when Mike Wood served as CEO and Anton served as president, reporting to Wood, Anton said.
