The 10 finalists in the 80,000 circulation or higher category are: American Medical News, CFO, Computerworld, Fortune Small Business, Spectrum, Lawn & Landscape, Macworld, PC World, Professional Builder and R&I.

In the 80,000 circulation or fewer category, the 10 finalists are: Architect, Associations Now, Automotive News, Chain Leader, Control, Exhibitor, Health Leaders, Information Security, Oregon Business and the Scientist.

The awards in these and 45 other print categories will be handed out during this year’s Azbee Awards of Excellence banquet July 16 in Washington, D.C. The ceremony will be part of ASBPE’s National Editorial Conference, which kicks off July 15.

ASBPE will hand out 36 national awards and 139 regional awards, the group said.

For the first time, ASBPE this year also will hand out a “Journalism That Matters” award, which honors a trade journalist whose coverage “triggered a tangible change within government or industry.” Taking the first-time honor will be HSToday editor David Silverberg for an editorial he wrote about the National Football League’s refusal to run a job recruitment advertisement from the U.S. Border Patrol.
