While overall trade show revenue for b-to-b publishers fell 20.1 percent in the first quarter of 2009, according to American Business Media’s Business Information Network, Los Angeles-based Canon Communications continues to see growth from medical events and plans to launch two more, targeting orthopedic manufacturing, in 2010.

Canon will debut the OrthoTec Conference and Exhibition in Warsaw, Indiana in May and take the event to Switzerland in September. The locations represent the orthopedic manufacturing capitols in the U.S. and Europe.

Trade show revenue now accounts for 55 percent of Canon’s overall revenue. Earlier this year, Canon saw attendance grow 4 percent for its Medical Design and Manufacturing West conference and 20 percent for MEDTech Europe.
