Bonnier to Relocate Babytalk to Florida
Editorial director only editorial staffer to remain with magazine.

Bonnier Corp. is relocating the editorial and production operations of Babytalk magazine from New York City to its headquarters in Winter Park, Florida. The move, according to a company spokesperson, will be made âin order to operate more efficiently and take advantage of existing corporate resources.â
Susan Kane, who serves as editorial director of Bonnierâs Parenting Group, will continue to have oversight over Babytalk and the Parenting titles. As part of the move, three editorial staffers will be transitioning to Parenting and will remain in New York. Five other editorial staffers, as well as one person in production, will leave the company.
In Florida, Babytalkâs editorial team will be led by Ana Conneryâformerly a senior editor at Cooking Light and who serves as editor-in-chief of Florida Travel & Lifeâand Sarah Kinbar, who serves as editor of Garden Design. Parentingâs editorial team and the business-side functions of both magazines will stay in New York.
âBabytalk is a critical component and asset to Bonnier's mom market,â the spokesperson said. âWe are expanding our propertiesâprint and onlineâin this category, not decreasing them.â
Babytalk saw ad pages fall 21.7 percent through the first quarter, according to Publishers Information Bureau figures.
Overall, Bonnier employs roughly 1,000 people in the U.S., the spokesperson said.
