The Society for National Association Publications has announced its 2009 EXCEL Awards, honoring the best publishing products of the association industry.

This year’s winners were notably college alumni magazines, with Suffolk Alumni Magazine taking home four, including the gold in magazine general excellence (50,001 to 100,000 circulation), cover photo illustration, redesign (more than 50,000) and design excellence (20,001-100,000). The Penn Stater also won for general excellence in its category of more than 100,000 circulation (tying with The Rotarian), as well as gold for feature article and design excellence.

Award recipients will be honored at a gala in Washington, D.C. on June 4.
