Trade Publisher Acquires Gourmet Foods Publication
Oser Communications adds to its foods-related portfolio.
Trade show daily, trade journal and magazine publisher Oser Communications has acquired United Publications Inc.'s Gourmet News, a newspaper serving the gourmet foods industry.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. United Publications also publishes Restaurant Daily News and Food Equipment News.
According to United Publications president Brook Taliaferro, the sale enables the company to "focus on our core segments, and [we] felt that it was time to bring Gourmet News to a media group that would make it a core element and would deliver the highest levels in quality to our audience."
In April, Oser Communications purchased Kitchenware News and Housewares Review, a monthly niche magazine serving consumer kitchen equipment manufacturers and distributors.
New York-based investment bank M.C. Alcamo & Co. represented United Publications in the transaction.
