Radar, the magazine—now in its third incarnation—that refuses to die, is beefing up its design team with a pair of award-winning designers.

Luke Hayman, who won a pair of National Magazine Awards at New York magazine and, more recently, oversaw the redesign of Time, has been retained by Radar as a creative consultant, editor Maer Roshan announced this week. Roshan worked with Hayman at New York.

Hayman, currently a partner at Pentagram Design, will continue work for the firm while consulting for Radar.

Meanwhile, Kate Elazegui, art director at New York magazine, has been named design director.

Both will begin work on Radar in May.
