O the Oprah Magazine, Food + Wine, Essence, Meredith, more ...

O, The Oprah Magazine has promoted Brooke Kosofsky Glassberg to fashion feature editor. She had served as an associate editor since February 2007.

Food + Wine has named Vanessa Myers merchandising director. Most recently, Mysers served as creative services director at Condé Nast Traveler.

David L. Flemister
has been named associate publisher of sales for Essence Communications Inc. Previously, Flemister served as vice president of client partnerships for Time Warner Global Media Group.

Newsmax magazine has named Chris Gonsalves managing and corporate assignment edditor. Previously, Gonsalves served as an executive editor at Ziff Davis Media, and most recently as editor-in-chief of eWeek's Channel Insider.

The American Society of Magazine Editors has named former Wenner Media vice president and Nielsen Business Media editorial director Sid Holt to the newly-created position of chief executive. Most recently, Holt served as chief editor at mobile Web publisher go2 Media.

Reader’s Digest has named Grunder Rask director of business development for ReadersDigest.com. Rask most recently served as director of business development and global distribution at video search engine blinkx, Inc.

Meredith Corp. has made two staffing changes: Former McLeodUSA CFO Joseph H. Ceryanec has been named vice president and CFO, replacing Suku Radia who left the company earlier this year; and former Family Circle executive editor Betty Wong has been named editor-in-chief of Fitness magazine, replacing Denise Brodey who is leaving the magazine.

Topeka, Kansas-based Ogden Publications has named Caleb Regan as an assistant editor for Grit magazine. Previously, Regan served as sports editor for the Eudora News and the De Soto Explorer newspapers.

Connecticut-based Cynopsis Media has appointed Chuck Bolkcom to the newly-created position of president and COO. Most recently, Bolkcom served as vice president of advertising sales at broadband video content delivery network Vuze Inc.

Easyriders, Biker and V-Twin magazines publisher Paisano publisher and CEO Joe Teresi has announced that Joe Lagana will replace him as publisher and CEO. Teresi is stepping down from the business’ day-to-day operations but will stay on as chairman (his wife, Ellen, will continue to serve as vice chairman).
