Ana Marie Cox has been named Washington editor at Radar. Cox, who rose to fame as a blogger for Gawker Media's politically-bent Wonkette, most recently served as Washington editor of Time.com.

Wenner Media has named Erik Yates advertising director at Rolling Stone. Most recently, Yates served as fashion director at Men’s Journal.

Richard Dagnall has been named managing director of United Business Media’s TechWeb Light Reading Communications Network. Previously, Dagnall worked with Penton Media and Richmond Events.

Meredith Corporation has named Eileen Cross vice president of human resources for the Meredith Publishing Group. Most recently, Cross served as a consultant for Reader’s Digest and global recruitment organization the Ayers Group.

Jack Morris has joined Boston-based luxury media publishing firm RMS Media Group as editor of Northshore magazine and director of new media for the company. Most recently, Morris served as Web manager at Boston's FOX 25.

Let me get this straight... Jan Wenner took a fashion director from Men's Journal and turned him into an advertising director at Rolling Stone??? At least now if they lose money, they'll look good doing it. Then again, isn't Jan the same guy who put consummate jazz musician Miles Davis into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Go figure.
