In an effort to broaden its audience and redesign the sites of the company's three titles, Brant Publications has named Susan Cappa director of marketing and Keith Pollock executive online editor. Brant publishes newly-redesigned Interview, Art in America and the Magazine Antiques.
Wenner Media has named William Schenck publisher of Rolling Stone—the fourth person to hold that title in two-and-a-half years. Most recently, Schenck served as publisher of sister publication Men’s Juornal. He replaces Ray Chelstowski.
The Los Angeles Times Media Group—publisher of the Los Angeles Times newspaper and the soon-to-launch Sunday magazine LA—has named Scott McKibben executive vice president and chief revenue officer. Most recently, McKibben served as vice president of Freedom Communications’ central region, and as president and publisher of its Gazette newspaper.
Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. announced a pair of promotions within its luxury design group: PointClickHome vice president/publisher and shelter group sales director Laurence Oberwager has been named vice president and associate publisher, sales; and Christie Boyle, who served as associate publisher or Metropolitan Home, was named vice president and associate publisher, marketing.
Fitness magazine has announced a number of personnel changes: Former Parenting art director Kayo Der Sarkissian has been named creative director; Mary Christ Anderson, who previously served as senior fitness editor at Self, has been named fitness director; and former Self deputy beauty director Leah Wyar was named beauty director.
Kelly Rae reportedly has been named executive fashion director at Spin, leading the magazine’s newly-formed fashion department. Most recently, Rae served as fashion director at Alpha Media’s Maxim.
Latina Media Ventures, publisher of Latina magazine, has announced two staffing changes: Lisa Dickens was appointed marketing director and Melissa Rodriguez was promoted to fashion director.
Elayne Fluker has been named managing editor of Brides.com, the Web site that aggregates content from several magazines including Brides, Modern Bride and Elegant Bride. Fluker most recently served as editorial director for the Beauty & Style and Entertainment channels at NBC Universal's iVillage.com.
