Meredith Corp. has announced several staffing changes as part of an effort to realign its Meredith 360° and corporate sales units. Senior vice president Jack Bamberger has been named chief innovation officer; Jeannine Shao Collins has been named senior vice president of client solutions; Michael Brownstein will serve as senior vice president of corporate sales, and will oversee the company’s Detroit sales operation; and Jan Studin has been named vice president of corporate sales. Meredith also announced a number of senior-level management changes: Vice president Jim Carr has been named vice president and group publisher for Better Homes and Gardens and Family Circle; BH&G associate publisher Carey Witmer has been promoted to publisher of Family Circle; Country Home publisher Tony Imperato replaces Witmer as BH&G associate publisher; and Steve Levinson, who has overseen Meredith’s Home Solutions group, will take on the added responsibility of group publisher of Country Home, Traditional Home and Midwest Living magazines.
Condé Nast has named Kelley Gott associate publisher of Domino. Most recently, Gott served as worldwide publishing director at Time Style & Design, advertising director at Time for Kids and director of new business development for Time.
Time Out Chicago has named Matt Mansfield art director. Most recently Mansfield served as deputy managing editor for the San Jose Mercury News. He also is the 2009 president of the Society for News Design.
Nielsen Business Media has appointed Mark Hosbein to senior vice president of marketing. Most recently, Hosbein served as senior vice president of brand management and advertising for Discover Card.
Richard Confrey has been named BusinessWeek’s New York regional advertising director. Confrey joins the McGraw-Hill Companies title after 13 years at the Wall Street Journal where he served most recently as multimedia sales director and institutional finance advertising director.
The American magazine has named Nick Schulz editor-in-chief. Schulz helped launch the magazine in 2006 and was writer of its Techno-Ideas column.
As part of a new advertising sales structure, Entrepreneur Media has announced two staffing changes. Bob Kelly, vice president of sales eastern region, is transitioning to the newly-created role of vice president and publishing director, and Justin Koenigsberger is stepping into the new role of director of advertising sales.
Terry Sweeney has re-joined United Business Media’s TechWeb in the newly-created position of editor-in-chief of InternetEvolution.com.
Hearst’s House Beautiful has named Robert Rufino editor at large. Previously, Rufino was vice president of creative services at Tiffany & Co.
Ogden Publications has announced a number of staffing changes. Aubrey Vaughn has been promoted to assistant editor and Laura Evers has been named editorial assistant at Mother Earth News. Janell Bayer-Harshbarger has been named senior financial analyst.
Private equity firm Falconhead Capital has named Scott Dickey chief operating officer and chief marketing officer of its San Diego-based Competitor Group Inc., publisher of Triathlete and Competitor magazines. Dickey also has joined Falconhead as operating partner.
