Penton Media has shuttered Access Control and Security Systems magazine. The September issue was its last.
A Penton spokesperson attributed the magazine’s folding to “deteriorating market conditions,” but declined to expand further.
Only one layoff was associated with the folding, according to the spokesperson. Five of the magazine’s six employees were repositioned elsewhere within the company. The spokesperson declined to say which position was eliminated.
Access Control and Security Systems had a controlled monthly circulation of 38,000.
