New Publisher for Delta’s Sky Magazine
Airline ends longtime partnership with custom publisher Pace Communications.

MSP Communications, publisher of Mpls.St.Paul magazine, said it has been awarded the contract to publish Delta Airlines’ in-flight magazine, Sky.
The agreement effectively ends Delta’s partnership with Greensboro, North Carolina-based custom publisher Pace Communications, which published the magazine for more than a decade.
The circumstances surrounding Delta’s exit from the Pace partnership were not immediately clear. A Pace spokesperson did not immediately return a request for comment.
MSP plans to unveil a redesign concept by mid-January with an official relaunch appearing on planes in April.
Delta’s agreement with MSP creates at least 25 new jobs and will generate more than $50 million into the Minneapolis-area economy, the publisher said. Earlier this year, Atlanta-based Delta merged in a $17.7 billion stock swap with Minneapolis-based Northwest airlines, creating the largest airline worldwide.
Before Pace, Sky was published for 16 years by the Halsey Publishing Co. Pace publishes several in-flight magazines, with clients including United Airlines and Virgin America Airlines.
