In an attempt to capitalize on the growing mobile advertising market, Hearst Magazines Digital Media, a unit of Hearst Magazines, has joined the Nokia Media Network.

The partnership will enable the company’s advertisers to place ads with Nokia media properties and on publisher and operator mobile Web pages, reaching more than 100 million consumers, the publisher says. Hearst’s mobile brands include sites such as M.cosmopolitan.com, M.cosmogirl.com and M.esquire.com.

According to Chuck Cordray, Hearst Magazines Digital Media vice president and general manager, the deal marks “one of the first times a content publisher is able to serve ads across a global mobile media network. The entire system is seamless to the consumer. No downloads are required; it is both device- and carrier-agnostic and ensures a non-intrusive mobile Web experience.”
