Greenspun Acquires Nevada Online Employment Network
Publisher looking to tap into growing Nevada job markets.
Greenspun Media has acquired Recruiting Nevada, an online network of Nevada area employment Web sites. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Greenspun hopes the acquisition will expand the company's career opportunities offerings for its numerous Nevada area publications. Home News Community Newspapers, a Greenspun newspaper group, has partnered with Recruiting Nevada for the last two years.
Late last month, Greenspun announced folded the print version of Las Vegas Life magazine and moved its content online. The company also announced plans for what it calls a "category crushing" Web portal for the Las Vegas market on Memorial Day weekend. Over the next six months, Greenspun says it plans to hire 30 to 50 online staffers to help operate the portal.
