CMP’s Weitzner Named CEO of Ziff Davis Enterprise
Leaves only two months after taking international biz dev head role at CMP.
Two months after being named head of international M&A and business development for CMP Technology, Steve Weitzner has been named chairman and CEO of Ziff Davis Enterprise, it was announced today.
Prior to his business development position with CMP, Weitzner had been the company's CEO for two years.
ZDE, publisher of Baseline, CIO Insight and eWeek, among others, was formed last June when Ziff Davis sold the group to Insight Venture Partners for $150 million.
"It was an extraordinary coup to be able to bring him on board," said Insight's managing director Lawrence Handen in a statement.
