Mary Tilt has been promoted to merchandising director of Harper's Bazaar, where she had served as the associate merchandising director since July. Prior to joining Harper's Bazaar, Tilt was communications director at fashion company Nicole Miller.
Real Simple magazine has promoted Karen Saltser to vice president of digital. The former general manager will now manage digital initiatives for the Real Simple brand and the business practices at realsimple.com.
Reed Business Information has appointed Mark Finkelstein as president of its Boston division. Finkelstein joins RBI from the PennWell Corporation where he was senior vice president of group publishing director for the company's global IT and electronics divisions. RBI's Boston division comprises brands such as EDN, Design News, Logistics Management and Test & Measurement World.
CMP'S CRN and VARBusiness has announced a number of promotions: Edward Moltzen has been promoted to managing editor of the Test Center and Jennifer Hagendorf Follet and Mario Morejon have been promoted to senior technology editors. Also, Stefanie Hoffman joins CRN and VARBusiness as a reporter.
Ex-Jane editor Brandon Holley has taken the new executive producer role at Yahoo Lifestyles. There, Holley oversees food, health, astrology, technology and green editorial content.
Women's Day has announced several personnel changes:
âª Former Women's Day style editor Davida Sidrane has returned to the magazine as lifestyle director. Before her return, Sidrane served as home editor at Time Inc.'s All You magazine.
âª Melanie Dennis has been promoted to beauty director. She had been an account manager since 2006.
âª Melissa Matthews has joined Women's Day from Family Circle, where she served as the associate beauty and fashion editor.
Corporate compliance and governance magazine Compliance Week has promoted Matt Kelly to editor-in-chief. Since January 2006, Kelly was managing editor. Prior to that, he was a contributing editor.
Redbook has promoted Drew Weicker to team leader of strategic business development. Weicker will help develop strategies to break new advertising categories and build on existing business. Previously, she was a health account manager.
L.A. Times staffers Leslie Brenner and Sherry Stern have been moved to the newspaper's Sunday magazine. Michalene Busico has returned to the magazine's Food section.
